THE HOUSE

Written in the quiet hours

I raised my son on my own, with little help and few resources. He was brilliant and wired differently, and some days asked more of me than I had.

In the evenings, there was no one to call. So I talked to the Lord, and I spoke His Word over myself, again and again, until it steadied me.

It held. He provided. And I learned that what you speak over yourself becomes the life you live.

Years later, as a nurse working with middle schoolers and first-time mothers, I prayed to see people the way He sees them. One day a young mom called me in tears. After we hung up, I asked Him what I could do. He said: write to her.

So I wrote: scripture and declarations, by hand, for her and then for others. The response was the same every time. The words reached places encouragement couldn’t.

More Than Enough began as obedience. It is still written by hand, one card at a time.

Because the words you speak over yourself matter.

And you are more than enough.
